Country Manager - Thailand (Telecom)

The Client

Our client is a major telecom company that specializes in research and development,
production and marketing of carrier class telecommunications equipment. It provides
solutions for telecom carriers in different regions across the world, including some of world's largest telecom operators. It has recorded impressive growth in the past few years to emerge as one of the leading equipment vendors in several telecom verticals. For its rapidly expanding Thailand operations, our client is interested in recruiting a senior business professional from the telecom equipment sector as :

Position : Country Manager - Thailand (Telecom)

Location : Bangkok

Responsibilities:

• Overall P&L management and leadership of Thailand operations.
• New Client Acquisition: Develop and acquire new clients amongst major telecom operators and enterprise clients in Thailand.
• Expand business and market share with existing accounts
• Develop sales and demand creation strategies and action plans to achieve revenue and gross profit targets that will produce maximum market penetration.
• Identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and margins.
• Maintain and Develop relationships with partners – including System Integrators – and ensure that they receive technical and infrastructure support, as required.
• Client/Key Account Management at multiple levels, especially with key decision makers

Requirements:

• Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree in engineering/business disciplines with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience
• Strong sales and marketing background in carrier class telecom equipment
• Strong experience and track record in a similar/related role in Thailand
  Excellent C level and mid-level industry contacts in all wireless and wireline operators as well as large corporations
• Strong leadership, relationship management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in multicultural teams
• Fluency in English and Thai languages
