For one of its mega manufacturing operations in Malaysia, our client is interested in recruiting a senior electronics manufacturing operations professional to join the team as :

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will have overall leadership of Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management & Vendor Relationship Management. He/she will lead a very large team (2000+) and will be responsible for site-level implementation of SPC, Lean Manufacturing, 5S and other initiatives. The facility manufactures (both PCBA and box build) a wide range of complex carrier class telecom and networking products.

The role requires a strong focus on continuous yield improvement and cost reduction. Strong Man-management skills, Training and Development focus and implementation of enterprise-wide quality initiatives will be key expectations.

Requirements

Critical competencies required for success in this role include strong Business Leadership, Operational Excellence, Result Orientation, Entrepreneurial Drive and Interpersonal Skills.

Ideal candidates would be highly experienced and mature techno-commercial leaders from the electronics manufacturing industry. They should hold an engineering degree from a premier institute. An additional MBA would be preferred.

Candidates must have 18-25 years of relevant experience of which at least the last 5 should be in a similar leadership position in large multinational OEM or Tier 1 EMS corporations.

Exposure to high volume PCB Assembly and Box Build manufacturing operations for high-end telecom, networking, or other complex products would be essential.

Candidates must demonstrate proven leadership and man-management skills; ability to adapt to rapid changes; strong business focus; an innovative, solution-oriented approach; strong entrepreneurial flair; and strong English communication and presentation skills.
