The Client

Our client is a very large, multi-billion dollar turnover, listed trading company. With more than 8000 people in over 50 countries worldwide, our client is highly respected for its integrated supply chain management capabilities. For its Singapore operations, our clients is looking for an experienced IT professional to head its IT function.

Responsibilities

Reporting to CTO, the selected candidate will lead a team of 10-12 IT professionals and will be responsible for :

• Development and implementation of a comprehensive IT Strategy and 3-year Roadmap in line with the short/medium/long term business objectives
• Maintain and enhance Order Processing, Oracle Financials, Risk Systems, Futures Accounting System and SAP BPC systems
• Hands-on involvement in user interface to understand requirements and pass on well-scoped requests to the development team.
• Maintain and enhance Singapore IT infrastructure – Unified Communication, IT Security and routine maintenance of hardware/software needs of Singapore office users.
• Assist in integration efforts between Singapore IT and several countries with legacy systems.
• Handle specific projects that involve restructuring or integration or oversight of IT function in select overseas offices
• Team building and IT talent management
• Introduction of Best Practices in IT and knowledge management

Requirements

Ideal candidates will be high caliber professionals with:

• IT leadership experience with integrated Supply Chain, Commodity Trading, Logistics, high volume manufacturing or multi-business corporations
  Engineering/computer sciences/business degrees with a post-graduate degree, preferably an MBA, from premier institutes,
• 10-15 years of IT experience in sector with at least 3-4 years in a similar role
• Experience in evaluating and implementing Supply Chain ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Strong understanding of technology, architecture and BI choices.
• Vendor management experience
• Strong business focus; analytical and change-management abilities; team-building and leadership qualities; and excellent presentation and communication skills
• Willingness to work in multi-ethnic teams and to travel overseas, as required.
