President Sales – Pharma Major (Pharma & Health Care)

Our client is an international pharmaceutical company operating in more than 85 countries, through its subsidiaries, offices and marketing/distribution network, and a diverse customer profile covering institutions, major corporate hospitals and international aid agencies. They are looking at senior professional to head their world class facility in the region. He will be responsible for :

• Overall responsibility for the P&L, operations, growth and profitability of the business
• Develop and implement appropriate long and short term strategic and tactical initiatives in order to achieve specific financial and operational goals (sales, profitability, market share etc.)
• Provide leadership to all critical functions including the business heads of various SBUs, Sales & Marketing teams, Distribution Channels, Product Development, HR and Finance.

Critical competencies required for success in this role include strong Business Leadership, Operational Excellence, Result Orientation, Entrepreneurial Drive and Interpersonal Skills.

Ideal candidates would have:

• Successful track-record in leading a rapidly growing, well-managed business in Pharma/Healthcare/ FMCG sectors.
• Bachelors/Masters degree from a reputed institute. An MBA would be preferred.
• Leadership skills with strategic business vision; personality, track-record and credibility to win the confidence and support of the top management, various functional teams, suppliers and partners
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Ability to develop, joint venture, strategic alignments, acquire and divest businesses
• Ability to travel extensively and to work with multi-cultural teams.
