Our Client is one of world's largest manufacturers of chemicals for a wide variety of applications. The US-headquartered multinational has several manufacturing, sales, R&D and support services operations in Asia Pacific region. To strengthen its AsiaPac SAP team, our client is interested in recruiting a senior SAP professional to join the team as :
Position : SAP Project Manager (Asia Pac)

Responsibilities :
The selected candidate will lead Asia Pacific Regional SAP projects; implement new modules and expansions; act as coordinator, coach and manager of all project based staff concerned with planning, implementation and support for all business systems (SAP and related systems); work closely with the SAP Competence Center, Business Relationship Manager, regional IT Infrastructure, Supply Chain, legal, Six-Sigma groups and business functional managers to set work plan priorities, devise post implementation support strategy and an ongoing training plan for all business systems; and prepare recommendations for system improvements.
He/she will be expected to act as lead business systems analyst in SAP Sales & Distribution module in addition to the project management responsibilities; and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to meet project objectives.
Requirements :
- Graduate/Post-graduate qualifications, preferably in Engineering/Computer Science, from a reputed institute plus relevant training/certification in SAP and Project Management
- At least 10-12 years of IT experience of which the last 3-5 years should be in SAP project management role, preferably in a manufacturing MNC.
- Strong exposure to SAP SD module
- Experience in overall project management including Project scope determination, Software and vendor evaluation and selection, Project cost estimation, justification and capital appropriation, Project planning and scheduling, and Project Go-Live and start-up support.
- Strong leadership ability; ability to act as the team coach and effectively transfer knowledge to others as required through formal or informal training.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a matrix organization involving networking across geographical, functional and business boundaries. Willingness and ability to get things done by using influence and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work as part of a global “virtual’ team and to work independently and remotely. Ability to travel to regional locations at short notice.
- Strong sense of urgency and aggressiveness in implementation of plans.
