Responsibilities
As a senior process technologist, the selected candidate will be the organization’s key technical resource and subject matter expert on Delayed Coker Unit technology. He/She will provide technical consultation & support, troubleshooting, evaluation of technology and oversight during implementation of upgrade/expansion projects. Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide proactive technical support in all phases of Process Engineering, front-end process studies including technical assurance and troubleshooting.
- Work with business unit engineering groups to improve process reliability and commercial performance of DCU.
- Provide medium and long-term support by means of project evaluation and assurance, and implementation of new technology options.
- Pursue several technology development opportunities inline with refinery's strategic imperatives.
- Work on mathematical modelling and simulations for process design and optimization.
- Assist in developing research strategy & identification of DCU processes; and plan & execute experimental programs for related research activities.
Requirements
- Masters/Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering with in-depth knowledge of DCU technologies, processes and operation.
- A minimum of 20 years experience in DCU Process Engineering.
- Expert knowledge in PFDs, P&IDs, Process simulation, economic evaluation, technology evaluation/development, process due diligence & detailed equipment design.
- Strong exposure to techno-economic analysis of process options.
- Understanding of overall refinery processes and refinery economics.
